Debby at The Fez is great to work with. She was always willing to offer her opinion when asked and quick to respond to questions. She was very understanding when my FMIL called to 'double check' on the wedding plans. She stayed professional and answered my FMIL questions but then referred her back to us. The balconade room was where I had my reception. The room was beautiful, but I had to do a lot of my own decorating. I wish I was informed of that prior to dropping off the items the day prior to the wedding. I had a sit down dinner and the serving staff was great and quick. No one waited very long for their meals. There were rave reviews about the English Cod and Pasta Primavera. However, the Prime Sirloin was not that warm and did not taste good. Everything else was delicious. Portion sizes were big, as well. For all The Fez offers, I feel it was well worth the money.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Fez and couldn't be happier! The prices were fantastic, the room beautiful, and the food was excellent! We're still getting compliments about it! Debby was so easy to work with, and really made this part of the wedding planning stress-free. We were able to have our pictures taken at the Fez (they took us to another room so we could have some privacy while our guests enjoyed the cocktail hour). Both the ceremony and reception ran incredibly smoothly--there wasn't a single problem. The cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted! Our wedding was on the smaller side (only 70 people total) but we were still treated like our wedding was a priority. I would highly recommend the Fez to anyone!

Our Wedding at The Fez was everything we could have hoped for. The rooms are beautiful and the price can't be beat. The wedding planner Deb was great to work with. She helped us with all of her plans and is a walking encylopedia of wedding information and service providers. The food was the best I've had at any wedding ANYWHERE, ever. The work staff was attentive and every aspect of the evening flowed perfectly. Chuck Webb our DJ had everyone up and dancing all night. I would recommend The Fez to anyone!

Unbelievable value for cost. This is a business who has been around for 50 years and it will be around for 50 more. Priced like the fire hall, looks like the hotel.

OUR WEDDING DAY COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PERFECT!!! The room was beautiful, our food was AWESOME, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Because most of my husband's family lived outside the area, we chose to have our ceremony and reception in one location. What a great decision we made choosing The Fez. I changed my mind a hundred times about my details and they were always so patient and flexible. The choices they offer are the most we found anywhere, and the price was great...especially for all that was included in their packages. The wedding coordinator had every detail attended to, and the staff was there for our every need....often before we asked. We are still getting phone calls from family and friends a month after our wedding telling us that it was the BEST wedding they've ever attended.

My husband and I held our 250+ person wedding reception at The Fez Banquet and Wedding Center at 2312 Brodhead Road in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania in December 2007.We were quite pleased with the food at The Fez as well as the banquet service. We also found The Fez’s prices to be reasonable compared to the other reception venues we considered. Unfortunately, during our reception a distressing incident occurred. Just before dinner a water pipe in the wall burst, partially flooding the ballroom. A number of our tables had to be hastily removed and quite a commotion was caused during our toasts by the staff using shop-vacuums to attempt to clean the area. During our reception and in the month following, The Fez never contacted us regarding this incident. As I did not think it was acceptable to expect clients to hold their reception in a partially flooded ballroom, and I did not believe that we had received the full service we had paid for from The Fez, I wrote to the owner, explained the situation, and asked him to consider refunding a fraction of the cost of our reception. His response dismissive; he blamed the bursting of the pipe on an “Act of God” and refused to consider any remuneration. My subsequent letters were similarly discounted. I was shocked and disappointed, to say the least, that The Fez would exhibit such blatant disregard to customer service, and that they would think it acceptable to hold a reception in a partly flooded hall. There were a number of additional negative aspects of our experience at The Fez that, while not major issues in and of themselves, collectively contributed to our overall sense that The Fez has little regard for client and guest satisfaction.1) The parking situation was atrocious (although throughout the planning phases we were assured that parking is never a problem at The Fez). The parking lot is dimly lit at best, uneven, and full of potholes. The Fez plans multiple weddings on the same evening, making an already bad parking situation even worse (particularly for the guests of the later wedding).2) Although you’re required to pay 15% gratuity on whichever liquor package you select, The Fez still puts “tip jars” on the bar (despite no mention of this practice in your contract). Having already paid gratuity on our bar tab, we had planned for our guests to enjoy an evening entirely at our expense, and not have to worry about having cash on-hand for tips. As it was The Fez endeavored to charge our guests for something for which we had already paid.3) The Fez appears to have only one staff member employed to handle ALL of the planning for ALL of the weddings and events at The Fez. This means that your reception is the number one priority for about the 5 days prior to your event. Communicating with the one staff member who handles the planning is difficult at best (she called me by the wrong name!) and this can be extremely frustrating when you’re trying to figure out the many reception details.4) The wallpaper in the ballroom was peeling and the restroom was dingy (chipped, peeling old wastepaper basket, broken vanity covering, etc.). While these are small details, I think they speak to The Fez’s general lack of commitment to guest satisfaction. These are things that would be quite simple and inexpensive to fix but would go a long way in improving the overall atmosphere.I would be extremely hesitant to recommend The Fez to any other couple planning a wedding reception. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, not to mention hugely expensive and stressful! The reception venue you choose should be committed to making things as perfect as possible for your special day, and not just counting dollar signs as your guests walk in the door. Client satisfaction is certainly not The Fez’s priority.

We thought the prices at the Fez were reasonable, initially, and that's one of the reasons we selected the venue for our reception. But in the end we still paid over $12,000 and we got very little (if any) personal attention during the planning phases. In fact, the entire year of working with the Fez to plan our wedding was super stressful because they never responded to emails or really even knew my name. They wouldn't even turn the heat on for us in the hall the evening before when we were decorating for the wedding, and it was winter! I just felt like they didn't care at all, which is really disappointing when you're so excited for your wedding. I felt like the Fez viewed our wedding as just dollar signs, and not much else. You may pay a bit more at a hotel or alternative venue, but it's worth it if they actually care about making you happy. I wouldn't recommend the Fez. I'd hate for other brides, grooms, and their families to deal with what we had to, no matter what the price.

We really liked the venue. The crew was very nice and kept the room in good shape through out the reception. The only pain point was the misunderstanding on the sequence of events. We had given our DJ the sequence of the events without knowing that the event coordinator had change the sequence without telling us. We took a couple of minutes to get everyone on the same page, and problem solved. I do recommend the Fez for weddings. It is a great value and they have great food.
