La Creme catering was amazing to work with. Leslie was quick at responding to emails and phone calls. They were very willing to work with our budget. The menu had a wide variety of choices. The food was delicious and presented beautifully.

Where should I begin? We were planning our daughter's wedding for Oct. 8, 2011 at the Mansion on Maple Heights when we were introduced to La Creme. We met with Leslie (the General Manager) and the Chef John for the first time and found them both to be very personable and easy to work with. Leslie gave us some great ideas, and they both worked out a fabulous cocktail and dinner menu while staying within our tight budget. We had a last minute change; Leslie and the wait/bartending staff worked to meet everyone’s requests without question, while still working in a very professional manner. Leslie was very prompt in returning our emails and telephone calls; she made everything seem so easy. The guests raved about how beautiful and delicious the Hors D’ Oeuvres and dinner food was. We were so pleased with La Creme and I would be proud to recommend them for your wedding and other catering needs. They were AWESOME!PS. I highly recommend the hot butlered crab cakes for your Hors D’ Oeuvres. They were the best I’ve ever had.

I cannot say enough of La Creme. We planned from out of state and they were great. The food we wanted was unique and they did a great job planning the menu and enjoyed being creative. Our guests loved the menu. For the food cost plus other per person associated costs their prices are very reasonable. The responsiveness was timely and they are very professional. With changes they were flexible as they also were with our schedule. Finally, their accounting staff was superb. I recommend them to all.

La Creme catered my daughters wedding at Soldiers and Sailors in November, the bride and groom live outside of Pittsburgh but had very specific requests and ideas for the meal all of which were met and exceeded our expectations. They did change managers 4months into our planning which was somewhat disconcerting however Leslie stepped in and assured us everything would be fine. She was wonderful to work with and made some great suggestions during the planning communicating with my daughter and myself. The day went off without a hitch, we could not have been happier with the food, the presentation, and the service.

I struggled with how to rate La Creme because they were really like a Jekyll and Hyde type of experience for my husband and I. The food was amazing, and the waiters and bartenders did an amazing job. However, they changed management (I think) between when I first began talking with them and my wedding. That's fine and not an issue, and had they been more forthcoming about what was going on, I may not have been so hard on them in my impression of the service that we received. Sadly, to this day I have no idea what happened. I began working with Tina and met and spoke with her multiple times. I was told that a menu would be put together soon. Fast forward about five months (note that I was working on other things and in the middle of my semester in the interim so I did not really press this issue, though) and I emailed Tina telling her that I was extremely concerned that I had not heard from La Creme in so long. The response that I got was not from Tina, but from Leslie, someone of whom I had never even heard let along spoken. The response email had a menu which was horrendous and not at all what I had requested. She fixed this later, but then disappeared for roughly another two months.Approaching the wedding, it was difficult to get LaCreme on the phone, and the only person that they would call was my fiance, who was not handling the catering AT ALL, a fact that I had told them ad nauseum. It was until 2 days before the wedding that we even got an invoice, and we were supposed to pay them no less than 7-10 days before the wedding. While the food at my wedding was amazing, and in the end, things seemed to work out (aside from a still pending linen issue which has essentially been blamed on me), Leslie seems to be in way over her head and no one at La Creme appears to be helping. I sincerely hope that the problems what we had remedy themselves, otherwise be prepared for much stress and pain leading up to your event. In retrospect, had I not been required to use them, I most likely would not have due to the headaches leading up to the wedding.

They rocked it out. During our tasting, we made some very specific requests – medium-rare red meat and no onions in the salad. Both were carried out, which was fantastic, since wedding steak is almost always overdone. Leslie, the coordinator, made some excellent suggestions in regards to planning our menu, and did a great job working within our budget. We had numerous guests compliment the food, which included the aforementioned filets as well as delicious crab cakes and vegetarian ravioli. Plus, contrary to what’s reported by a lot of brides and grooms, we both ate and thoroughly enjoyed our entire dinners. I would highly recommend La Crème Catering.

La Creme catered my daughter's wedding in August. It was to be held at the Mansion at Maple Heights, but due to a problem at the Mansion we were moved (2 days before wedding) to Center for the Arts. Katy and Leslie from LaCreme took care of everything and made it the smoothest of transitions. The food looked and tasted great and they were very flexible and easy to work with. We had 2 entrees, as well as some vegetarian. All the food was delicious. They took a real personal interest in our wedding and did everything possible to make it a wonderful day. Their staff was pleasant and professional, and even though we had an unexpected last minute change no one would ever have known there had been any problem. Katy is the greatest and went way above and beyond...I recommend La Creme to anyone looking for a caterer.

We recently used La Creme to cater our wedding reception and were very pleased with their work. The food was delicious and the service during the reception was wonderful. The servers, chefs, and bartenders were amazing and treated our guests well. The ladies in the office were also very helpful during the wedding planning.

I hate to give a less than stellar review, but I hope it will be helpful for others. We hired this caterer without tasting their food because we were planning a wedding from afar and everything looked and sounded great online. This was a mistake on our part. For the most part the staff was pretty responsive with our emails throughout the planning process. The relationship went down hill when we tasted the food a few months before our wedding. We realize everyone has an off day and maybe this was an off day, but we were very disappointed in the appearance and taste of the food, since it sounded and looked great online, so much that we decided to go find another caterer last minute rather than risk serving less than amazing food for our wedding. What left an especially sour taste in our mouth is that they told us they wanted to charge $100 for our tasting (of four very small dishes certainly not a single full meal and not anywhere near worth $100) when there was no mention verbally or in our contract about the possibility of any such charge. There was no charge applied after we refused to agree to it, but we consider the maneuver unprofessional especially after being disappointed with the food and canceling well within the allowed time for a full refund.
