Jean-Marc Chatellier's French Bakery

We were impressed with Jean-Marc from the moment we met him! He helped us design a perfect cake that looked stunning and was delicious as well. We went with the chocolate mousse filling and it was divine. I highly recommend using the silver stand as it sets the cake really apart as the masterpiece it is. The white chocolate flowers on top were gorgeous. he was remarkably easy to work with and I highly recommend him for any occasion.

Jean-Marc did such a wonderful job with our cake - not only was it simply stunning, but it was DELICIOUS! Our guests kept commenting that it was the most beautiful and delicious cake that they (or we!) had ever tasted!We went with the fresh strawberries -- and it could not have been better!Jean Marc is the greatest - I would recommend him to anyone!!

We used Jean-Marc Chatellier’s French Bakery in Millvale for our June 6th (2009) wedding. We ordered a cake for 150 people although we had about 160 and even had extra cake! What an Outstanding cake! We chose fresh strawberries and butter cream. Jean-Marc makes each cake himself and he also delivered and set it up. It was absolutely delicious!! Our guests also commented that it was the best cake they ever had. We decided to go with Jean-Marc because he is personal and professional. He takes pride in his cakes and his costs were about the same as other well-known Pittsburgh bakeries who mass-produce wedding cakes. We loved his personal touch in matching our wedding colors and designing the cake as we wanted it. He also suggests serving the entire cake. He gave us a certificate to get a free ‘top tier’ freshly made of our wedding cake when we have our first-year-anniversary. His theory…”why should you eat year-old cake?” We love his theory!! People continue to tell us it was the best wedding cake they ever had! We agree!Sheryl & Scott

I've been getting pastries from Jean-Marc for years so I knew the quality of his work for a wedding cake would be flawless! He gave us a HUGE sample cake to decide on our flavors and worked with us on the design. It was spot on - even better than I imagined! We had three tiers - two tiers of the fresh strawberry filling and the top layer was chocolate filling. We also had two sheet cakes with fresh strawberry filling. The cake was absolutely delicious!! The icing is perfect, not too sweet, but very creamy!Instead of freezing the top layer of cake for your 1st anniversary, he provides a complimentary anniversary cake! I can't wait!The only downside is that his bakery is usually very busy so it's hard to get time to meet with him. He doesn't have an office so we were huddled in the corner of the bakery discussing the details.

Best cake in the city! So tasty - Jean-Marc is lovely to work with, though he's not very flexible with cake design. Still, the cake was YUMMY and beautiful to look at!

Jean- Marc has the best cakes around. I thought he was very flexible with everything. The other great thing about his cake are that the filling is not the yucky jelly stuff. I had fresh strawberries and Raseberries with butter cream icing this is out of this world. I would highly recommend him to anyone having a wedding.

SCRUMPTIOUS! After being married over a year now, people are STILL talking about our wedding cake! Jean Marc was able to personalize it...just the way we wanted...and it looked like it came out of a magazine!
